About Me

I am an indie developer, currently writing apps and games for mobile and PC platforms. I made the jump from PC applications to mobile games in 2012, and I have released 7 games written with Solar2D in various mobile stores.

Sometime in 2017, I decided to start learning Unity for mobile and PC games. I updated a few of my Solar2D games to Unity, and I also wrote 10 games during the Ludum Dare game jams. Those games are available for free to download and play… some include full source code.

In 2021, I decided to give Flutter and Dart a try, and I released a major update to Back In The Day (a US Inflation calculator) and released it on the iOS and Android App stores.

I am currently learning Godot, and I am attempting to re-re-re-write Space Mission Survival after several attempts in Unity.

Prior to getting into mobile games development, I developed several applications under the Candlelight Software name. Under the Candlelight name, I released a couple of shareware products back in the early 1990s.

Around the same time as I was developing shareware, I spent a few years developing front-end applications for the BBS platform The MajorBBS / WorldLink back before the popularity of the Internet, when the BBS was the hot communications medium.

Back when I was developing applications as a full-time, nine-to-five job, I worked on the development of robotics and interfaces to laboratory devices, and data management tools. My current “day job” is in InfoSec and Cyber Security.
